Let the countdown begin !

Being part of Lingu’Academy project is an amazing experience.
However, you have to manage your time for meetings and be fully dedicated to your task which involves reducing the expenses since I'm the Finance manager and provide the right atmosphere for this experience to grow.
But it’s not only about work; it’s also about collaboration trust, integrity and most of all enjoying each other’s company!!
I am so excited for this project to start so let the countdown begin!!

Our first signature

The best feeling when you are a little kid is when your parents buy you the super cute toy you've always wanted. The best feeling when you are an employee is when you get promoted. The best feeling when you're a parent is when your baby calls you for the first time.. But when you are an eXchanger in AIESEC, the best feeling is when you sign your first Raise-oriented contract, especially one for your own project !

I have been an eXchanger for long months but never actually got involved into Sales and Raise things. I have been much more focused on Exchange Participants' Servicing.
My first contract, therefore, was a bliss ! The gummy smile on my face when Mr. Jalloul Ghaki, President of ATCA (Tunisian Association for Amazigh Culture) was signing his name is PRICELESS ! The slight shiver that invaded my body as soon as I held the pen and signed mine felt like a volcano inside of me, a volcano of emotions, of pride, of "over-excitement" as Rania kept telling me later in the evening.
It is as incredible as lucid dreams.. like a sudden, direct shot in the head that triggers the over-excited hemisphere in your brain.
ATCA is the first step on the ladder leading to the summit of success, just like the summits of mountains in Berber villages where Mr. Jalloul promised to take our interns as field trips or study tours in August.
Couldn't help partying later on! "Work hard, party hard", that's how we do it in AIESEC ;)

Working like an eager beaver

Our third meeting was just over, and I'm frankly glad it did because it was the longest ever.. or so I felt. I had a four-page agenda for tonight's meeting, four pages of just bullet points to elaborate later on. I just feel that the race has started two weeks ago already, and now we are at this position in the running track where you either push yourself forward regardless to the incredible pain tearing every single muscle in your body apart, or you just start backing off slowly until sweat, witness of effort, is merged with tears of incapability.

And I am not the type of person who backs out or cries at the end of a race, unless they are tears of joy (although I OBVIOUSLY never run on the first place!). Neither is my team the type that would give up on all the effort we have been making throughout the past couple of weeks.

With the still unsolved problem of classrooms, though, I could not help feeling tense at some point. Just realizing that I have an endless list of other things to do and other events to prepare for but I can't step forward at this point is as frustrating as it is surprisingly even more motivating. And if you ask me how that could ever make sense, I would say "because it just does." I have never before understood why AIESECers actually wish "a term full of problems" to any elected leader, but now I definitely do.. and I do want to wish the same for my team members.

Our first EP interview :D

My dearest OC ICX during the first Skype interview of the project ! I don't know if my Job Description includes sitting at the next table, taking pictures and cracking jokes out of boredom, but I enjoyed it anyway.
But seriously, seeing my team members working as hard as they could, making a tremendous effort in just one week can but motivate me even more since I'm certain now that the project is in good hands, the EPs will definitely be in good hands.. but the camera? I'm not sure about that ;)
