What is AIESEC ?

AIESEC is the biggest student-run organization in the world. It is defined as a « platform giving to youth the opportunity to explore and develop their leadership potential ».

For this reason, AIESEC provides young people around the world with the opportunity to create projects which multiple fields of work gather in a professional context, granting them the chance to achieve both personal development and social impact, thus experiencing the role of leaders in a certain entity.

Our association is managed by youth for the sake of youth, which results therefore in a remarkable learning experience for its different stakeholders.

Our Approach :

By joining AIESEC, members are willing to live a life-changing experience based on personal development. This, in fact, includes leadership opportunities, international exchange programs and the implementation of inter-cultural dialogue with international entities in order to support mutual development.

AIESEC University Local Committee, Tunisia :

Founded in November 11, 1987 as one of the first babies born to AIESEC in Tunisia, AIESEC University Local Committee has since been “The Factory of Generations of Leaders”. Our LC is present in FSEGT (Faculté des Sciences Economiques et Gestion de Tunis) and represents our international organization in El-Manar Campus in the capial Tunis. AIESEC University has always been one of the strongest LCs in Tunisia with a long history of achievements and awards.

The Project : Lingu’Academy: 

Coming from a society which suffers from the low level of foreign languages knowledge mong its future generations, it is undeniable that this widespread phenomenon among the TUNISIAN youth must be dealt with as soon as possible. Despite the advantage of ilingualism (Arabic and French) that the Tunisian population enjoys, the majority is nevertheless intellectually weak in terms of foreign languages which represent one of he primordial measures of success in the present context of globalization and elimination of geographical boarders.

Therefore, LINGU’ACADEMY is a project that aims at providing Tunisian youth with the pportunity to study foreign languages, especially “rare” ones, taught by native speakers and through creative and innovative ways that go beyond the traditional scholastic methods. We have to admit its legitimate need and the necessity to improve the level of ur youth. 

How?

Due to the lack of knowledge of foreign languages among Tunisian youth, the registration ate will be increasingly high since we are targeting high school and university students ho do believe that learning new languages will illuminate their professional path and grant hem increasing chances of succeeding.

Foreign interns (teachers) will be teaching their mother tongues in order to ameliorate unisian students’ language proficiency.

Moreover, the project will be based on the idea of dismissing the old scholastic teaching ethods based on monotony and dry techniques and will rather adopt new teaching ethods focusing on interactivity and creativity through which the students will also iscover totally new cultures. These new methods will rather shed the light on cultural topics and he development of students’artistic potential while learning, which is obviously absent in raditional courses in the Tunisian educational system.
